SABC 1 and Sothar Pictures are bringing you a new, awesome lifestyle and fitness reality television show like no other in the game, Squad Goals Season 1, the trendiest fitness show that features the hippiest Squads South Africa has ever seen.

SQUAD GOALS is a lifestyle and fitness reality elimination show that follows the journey of 15 contestants that are driven by a common goal, to holistically transform their bodies. The contestants come in different body sizes with specific fitness health goals that they are trying to reach. These contestants come in as SQUADS of two or three with a common goal, reaching a milestone, ultimately adopting and leading a healthier lifestyle.

Squad Dynamics

• 1 Squad member wants to lose weight (120-180kg) – Morbidly Obese
• 1 Squad member wants to tone up (75-100kg) – Overweight / Tone up
• 1 Squad member wants to gain weight (45-70kg). – Underweight

Terms and Conditions

• Entries for the competition will run from October 23^rd through to November 6^th 2020. If you do not hear from Sothar Pictures by November 13^th, kindly regard your entry unsuccessful.
• The competition runs from November 2020 to January 2021. This includes entries, auditions and filming.
• Squad Goals contestants will be required to remain in competition for the duration of the show.
• Squad Goals contestants will be expected to stay in the Squad Mansion for 7 weeks.
• The competition is open to all South African citizens except directors, members, partners, employees, agents, service providers and consultants of the SABC and Sothar Pictures or their spouses, life partners, parents, children, brothers, sisters, business partners or associates.
• There are no costs for applying or taking part in the competition.
• Correct entries received by the advertised deadlines will be considered for SQUAD GOALS. Any late entries received will not be taken into consideration.
• Applicants must be South African citizens or legal South African residents. Proof of Identification is required.
• Applicants must be between eighteen (18) and forty-five (45) years at the time of application as well as filming.
• Applicants must not bare any criminal record, which the entrant permits the Producers to independently verify.
• Applicants must understand and acknowledge that participation in Squad Goals, including, without limitation, the activities and events arranged by the Squad Goals producers may expose participants to the risk of serious injury, illness or disease and/or property damage.
• Applicants must be willing and able to participate in physical activities such as: running, hiking, Tire pulling, and other extreme obstacle challenges.
• Applicants must sign a release form attesting to the fact that they understand and knowingly and willingly agree to assume such risks.
• Applicants understand that by submitting this participant application (the “Participant Application”), they acknowledge, accept and assume all risks known or unknown of any nature (including, without limitation, the foregoing) that may arise in any way from or relate to applicant’s participation in the selection process for and/or participation in the Program.
• Each applicant acknowledges, understands and agrees that Producers may disclose any information contained within or derived from his or her application to third persons connected with the Program and to compile information from third parties in connection with such application and the application process about applicant’s private, personal and public life, personal relationships with third persons, confidences and secrets with family, friends, significant others, without limitation (collectively, “Personal Information”).
• Applicant acknowledges and agrees that Producers may reveal such Personal Information to third parties in the course of the application process and/or the Program and that Applicant releases, discharges, and holds harmless Companies (as defined below) from any and all claims and damages arising from such compilation or disclosure of Personal Information.
• Each applicant acknowledges, understands and agrees that he or she, if chosen as a candidate on the Program, may be audio and/or videotaped twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week while participating in the Program by means of open and hidden cameras, whether or not he or she is then aware that he or she is being videotaped or recorded (collectively, “Recordings”) and that such Recordings may be disseminated on television and/or all media now known or hereafter devised, in any and all manner throughout the Universe in perpetuity.
• Applicants acknowledge, understand, and agree that Companies (as defined below) will require the selected individuals to sign a contract and confidentiality agreement relinquishing them from speaking to the media about the show prior to broadcasting as well as giving any vital information to the media or social media about the show.
• Applicants are required to sign Releases to this effect. “Companies” as used herein shall collectively mean Sothar Pictures, South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), and each of their respective employees.
• Each applicant acknowledges and agrees that he or she is not and will under no circumstances as a result of the submission of a Participant Application, participation in the selection process, participation in the Program, the use of the Personal Information or Recordings and/or the use of the applicant’s name, voice, and/or likeness in connection with the Program, the promotion thereof in all media now known or hereafter devised or for any other reason in connection with his or her application and/or participation in the Program, become an employee or an independent contractor of the Producers and/or Companies and will not make any claims against Producers and/or Companies, including, without limitation, claims for compensation, derived from any allegation of status as an employee. 
• Each applicant acknowledges and agrees that his or her relationship to Producers and/or Companies is and shall be limited solely to that of a grantor of rights.
• Applicants warrant that they are in good health and of sound body and mind and are willing to submit to a medical and or physiological examination by the Producer’s chosen practitioner.
• Applicants shall treat all information and materials received or acquired about Producers, Companies, the selection process and/or the Program, as strictly confidential and shall not disclose or otherwise disseminate any such information to any third party.
• Upon Producer’s request, all selected Applicants must agree to sign any additional releases or authorizations that Producers, in their discretion, deems necessary.
• The SABC or its agents will not be held liable for any disputes arising from the competition or prize awards.
• Winners use prizes at own risk. The SABC and its agents shall not be held liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss), damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (including but not limited to that arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this competition or accepting or using the prize/s.
• Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering.
• The SABC and its agents reserve the right to cancel, modify or amend the competition at any time, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of their control.
